Two Dead in Lone Bus Crash in Lagos, LASTMA Confirms

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed that a lone bus accident near the Emergency Point, just before the Tollgate at Total, has claimed the lives of two individuals.

The agency shared the update via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, stating that the deceased victims have been taken to the hospital. LASTMA also assured the public that its officers are currently at the scene managing the situation.

According to the agency, the incident has caused a significant traffic buildup, stretching as far back as the Secretariat area.

In a separate update, LASTMA reported that a high-tension power line fell across the main carriageway of Eko Bridge. This development has disrupted traffic flow, forcing motorists trying to connect to Alaka and inward Costain to seek alternative routes to their destinations.
