Stray Dogs Maul Nigerian Woman to Death in Italy

A tragic incident in Latina, Italy, has led to the death of 27-year-old Nigerian woman Patricia Masithela, who was mauled by a pack of starving dogs. The attack occurred late Monday night while Patricia was visiting a male acquaintance at his abandoned villa in the Lazio region.

Patricia, who had recently moved to Lazio from Nigeria, arrived at the house unaware that her friend was not at home. Her screams during the attack alerted nearby residents, who quickly notified the authorities.

When police arrived, they were forced to shoot two of the dogs to allow emergency responders access. The rest of the pack fled after hearing the gunfire. Patricia was discovered critically injured, with deep bite wounds covering her body, and was rushed to Santa Maria Goretti Hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and excessive blood loss despite medical efforts.

Patricia, a devoted mother to a five-year-old daughter, has left her family and friends in deep mourning. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the pack of starving dogs ended up in the area.

The incident has raised concerns about the dangers of stray animals, prompting residents to call for stricter measures to prevent similar attacks and ensure public safety.
