Rivers Pastor Detained, Arraigned Over Alleged Homosexual Acts
A Port Harcourt-based pastor, identified as Elijah, has been arrested by the police after a leaked video allegedly exposed him engaging in homosexual acts.
A pastor whose church is situated on Eagle Island, Port Harcourt, was exposed after a man he allegedly propositioned secretly recorded and leaked explicit footage of their encounter.
Sources claim the unidentified man played along to gather evidence, filming the cleric in a compromising position before reportedly demanding sex.
A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “We don’t know how the Octopus Strike Force of the Rivers State Police Command got hold of the video and started trailing the pastor. The pastor is from Rivers State here.
“So, during the investigation, the officers, acting on credible intelligence, tracked him to one of his relaxation spots and arrested him.”
Further reports suggest that during questioning, the cleric provided details about his alleged activities involving both male adults and minors within and beyond Port Harcourt.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the pastor was apprehended last Friday and has since been charged in court.
“Yes, I can confirm the pastor’s arrest. He is in custody and under investigation. In fact, he has been charged to court,” she stated.
