President Tinubu Celebrates Prof. Anthony Adegbulugbe at 70
President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Prof. Anthony Adegbulugbe, Chancellor of Joseph Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
In a statement released by Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Adegbulugbe for his remarkable achievements and invaluable contributions to academia, evangelism, business, and philanthropy.
Reflecting on their shared experiences, Tinubu recalled the honorary doctorate award ceremony at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, in October 2019.
At the event, Tinubu and Adegbulugbe received honorary degrees alongside other distinguished personalities, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Abubakar III, and the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Ugochukwu Achebe. “Standing beside such a distinguished intellectual, known for his outstanding dedication and humility, was truly an honour,” the President said.
Tinubu also acknowledged Adegbulugbe’s outstanding academic journey, highlighting his remarkable achievement of graduating with a First-Class degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1976, achieving a perfect GPA of 5.0.
The President commended Adegbulugbe’s unwavering pursuit of excellence and expressed optimism about his continued contributions to national development.
Concluding his message, Tinubu wished Prof. Adegbulugbe and his wife, Princess Afolake Adegbulugbe, many more years filled with good health and abundant blessings.
