Okocha Advises Osimhen to Consider Galatasaray Stay

As speculation intensifies over Victor Osimhen’s next career move following a stellar loan season at Galatasaray, Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha has advised the forward to reflect on the satisfaction and success he has experienced at the Turkish club.

Okocha, who had a successful stint at Fenerbahçe in the late 1990s, highlighted the professional and emotional benefits of playing in Turkey. He suggested that Osimhen consider these factors seriously, even if it means making certain personal sacrifices, especially in a football environment that balances passion, culture, and competition.

Osimhen recently concluded a standout campaign with Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and helping the club secure a domestic double.

Despite interest from several European clubs, Galatasaray are eager to retain the striker and have reportedly offered him a record-breaking contract worth €15 million per year, positioning him to become the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

Fans of the Turkish giants have launched a global campaign, including a digital billboard in Times Square, to persuade Osimhen to remain with the team. Although the striker has yet to make a public statement about his future, the club’s management remains hopeful.

Okocha reflected on his own positive experiences in Turkey, expressing his fondness for the country’s football culture and lifestyle. While he refrained from speculating on Osimhen’s final decision, he underscored the importance of choosing a path that balances ambition with contentment.
