England Boss Tuchel Calls Up Five Chelsea Stars, Including Debutant Chalobah
England head coach Thomas Tuchel has named five Chelsea players in his latest squad selection, with defender Trevoh Chalobah earning his first senior international call-up.
As announced on Chelsea Football Club’s official website on Friday, Chalobah—who has previously featured for England at various youth levels from Under-16 to Under-21—now steps up to the senior team. He joins Reece James, Levi Colwill, Noni Madueke, and Cole Palmer as Chelsea’s representatives in Tuchel’s second squad since taking the helm.
The Three Lions are set to face Andorra in a World Cup qualifying match in Barcelona on Saturday, June 7. They’ll then return to home soil to take on Senegal in a friendly at the City Ground on Wednesday, June 10.
Chelsea noted that more of their players are expected to receive international call-ups in the days ahead.
