Enenche Reveals Why He Married Wife Despite Her Lack of Style

Pastor Paul Enenche, founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has shared an interesting story about how he married his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, despite her not being particularly stylish when they first met.

In a viral video posted on Tuesday, Pastor Enenche explained that he was guided by faith, not by his wife’s physical appearance, when making the decision to marry her. He recalled how Becky, a medical student at the time, paid little attention to her looks. According to Enenche, her hair was often in braids, and she wore loose-fitting clothes, such as A-line skirts and jump-up sleeves.

“If sight was leading me, I wouldn’t marry my wife,” Pastor Enenche said. “I told my children the other day and they were all laughing. And she told them herself. Why? Because at that time, she never cared for anything. She just was anyhow. That is, a medical student didn’t care for anything. The hair was plaited mat permanently. She wore any dress available: shapeless.”

Becky, who was in church at the time, laughed along and confirmed her husband’s story.

Despite this, Pastor Enenche revealed that other women around him looked more attractive and also had strong spiritual lives, but it was God’s guidance that led him to Becky.

“There were flashy people around — very flashy. They were also spiritual and flashy. But God led otherwise,” he added.

Pastor Enenche then took the opportunity to share an important lesson with the congregation, advising them not to judge people based on their outward appearance.

“Not everything that looks good in the moment has a future,” he warned.
