Ekiti Police Investigate Disappearance of Two Teenage Girls

The Ekiti State Police Command has intensified efforts to locate two teenage girls reported missing in December 2024.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, a Superintendent of Police, disclosed in a statement on Wednesday that the missing girls are Miss Aderukuola Adedayo and Miss Omowumi Hassan.

Abutu stated, “One Aderukuola Nifemi Adedayo of Idifi Street, Aramoko Ekiti, left home on December 14, 2024, and has not returned since then.

“She is 16 years old, dark in complexion, has no tribal mark, and speaks Yoruba and English languages fluently.

“Similarly, one Hassan Omowumi of No. 16, Akinlabi Street, Adebayo, Ado Ekiti, left home on December 26, 2024, and has not returned since then.

“She is 17 years old, fair in complexion, has no tribal mark, is four feet tall, and speaks the Yoruba language fluently.”

The command has urged the public to assist by providing information that could help locate the girls.

“The command has commenced an investigation to unravel their whereabouts. Anyone with useful information about them should kindly contact the nearest Police Station or call 09064050086,” Abutu said.

Authorities assured residents that all efforts are being made to find the missing teenagers and bring them safely home.
